SPORTS! SPORTS! AND MORE SPORTS!

I wielded a mean crayon in my early days growing up in the Bronx, but made the quantum leap to the Mac at my first art studio job in 1990, and have been working as a digital artist ever since. My previous work experience includes seven years in consumer and pharmaceutical ad agencies as a photo retoucher and Mac production artist, a season at MTV Animation, and many, many freelance illustration and Flash animation jobs. These days when I'm not beating the hell out of my bass with the rest of the hooligans in my bands Almost Famous and Air Dogs, I'm hard at work here at my home art studio in Pearl River, NY.

My name is Elena (a.k.a "Elena K" or "Lady K") and I am the feminine touch of KennyKdownloads.com. I have been producing events and party planning for over 6 years in NYC and am a crafter at heart - I love anything creative, both handmade and digitally produced. I even ventured into business for myself starting a homemade basket company back in 2000; I eventually realized it was the creation that I loved, not the business side. My next leap of faith was to put my natural creative talents to use in the corporate world. Nothing like planning big events in New York on a big budget! Loving it ever since.

I am Mum to 4 sons, 3 of which are adults now & the youngest is 6 & has Autism.

I have been scrapping for 5 years now & card making for almost a year. I love this

hobby to pieces & I am very lucky to have a very patient partner who turns a

blind eye to all the little packages that arrive at our home hehehe!

I am the Owner of the Emerald Faerie Collection as I wanted to start

my own business & work for myself & I am having an absolute ball doing

Moving right along with things to do during the Spring we decided to do a challenge based on Spring Cleaning.  What better way to start but, to use something from your home on your project.  It could be anything from make up to tools in the house.  Let's see how creative you can get and show us your creations.  Make sure you note in your blog post what special household item you used to be eligible to win a $10 voucher to Aspire To Thrive Shop from our Sponsor INCY WINCY DESIGNS

Aspire To Thrive Children's Charities (was Incy Wincy Children's Charities - hence the challenge blog name) was started by a group of dart friends here in Elizabeth and Salisbury ,South Australia - who wanted to give something back to the community. A group of us have continued to do through out the last 2 years and we have been shown the amount of difficulty our society has towards children with special needs. There are a lot of charities out there who help children with terminal illnesses so we thought we could aim more towards learning and behavioural difficulties.

We are in talks now with a local kindergarten to see what we can do to help them. This would be a wonderful project and I hope with all my heart this goes ahead.

We have found an official home base now and are going from strength to strength.

ALL our work is voluntary and we get no ongoing assistance from anyone. We have gotten a few tiny grants to help with uniforms and equipment, for which we are grateful.

Our shop at www.aspiretothrive.com.au are donated drawings and ALL money (minus paypal costs) go directly into the charity.

We are grateful for any sales, help or donations (cards etc for our stalls)

                                                                         hair gel as glue

polish and cut a piece of gauze bandage for a ribbon (colored it

                                                 bricks and cut up box for frame and sentiment

Janette :  Janette used a paper bun case that she inked

and glittered. She also used old eyeshadow on the Piano and the

 edges of the die cut.

ST Patrick'd Day

Hello! Hard to believe it's March and thankfully Spring is around the corner. YAY!!!  Also, one of my favorite days falls in March and thats St. Patrick's Day.  Im not Irish but, I love everything about celebrating it!  So, that will bring us to our next challenge.

Hi! I'm Tiffany, owner of TiffanyDoodles. My background is web design, graphic design & photography. I have been self employed for nine years and have thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my work! Since childhood, I've always been creative and taken great pleasure in drawing and painting. In 2009, I discovered the stamping and paper crafting world and just fell in love!! In a very short order, I began transforming some of my drawings and doodles into digis. It has truly been a joy to share them with folks. I get so thrilled every time I see something new that someone has created with one of my stamps!! Each design is like a child of mine and it is really neat to see it all grown up and out in the world being all it can be. LOL!

All of my digital stamps are originally created by me and of the multiple styles I offer, most are hand-drawn images. Some are brushed up in Photoshop using the pen tool to produce very clean lines and others are left with a sketchy, rustic, hand-drawn look. An additional digi-style is one that I've dubbed as PhotoSketches and these are images from my photographs which I transformed into sketches with a little help from Photoshop. These beauties make splendid realistic images for stamping!
